New Year's babies run in the family
The first baby born at Summit Healthcare in 2009 was Alyssa Eleanor Jones, born at 3:31 a.m. Jan. 1 to Kenna and Jared Jones of Show Low. Alyssa weighed in at 6 pounds, 3 ounces, and was named after her maternal great-grandmother, who was also born on New Year's Day, 91 years ago. Alyssa has two very excited siblings, sister McKayla and brother Nathan.
Here's a link below to The White Mountain Independent that ran a little article & picture of us for our New Years baby, the first in The White Mountains. The article is printed above & if you'd like to see the picture (which is completely horrible of me ~ because I was so swollen still.)

Well, I think that's pretty cool! You made the news and everything! Talk about a grand entrance to the world! :)
ReplyDeleteCongratulations! She looks beautiful. I'm glad everything turned out ok. Sounds like it was kind of scary for a little while.
ReplyDeleteThat's neat that she has her namesake's birthday.
