Help!

I am so frustrated with my kids when it comes to sleeping. Rather it's for the night or nap they give me such a hard time. McKayla especially throws these hysterical fits! It frustrates me to the point of tears (that may be in part to my own hormone overload). I end up locking her in her room which results in the fits, sometimes for quit awhile. Or I lay down next to her, which doesn't always work either because she will talk your ear off. Then she tries to bargain with you to get to stay up. Does it get any better? Am I doing something wrong? I am at my wits end. I am open to any suggestions!

  1. hi hun! i know of an idea...what about bedtime tickets? what i do is make "tickets" and give them to my kids..they are allowed a certain amount of each type, kisses, hugs, etc. and when the tickets are gone oh well!

    just an idea!

  2. Oh my goodness, I wish I had a solution for you. I got my girls in a routine when they were very little. And I took certain toys away if they didn't comply with our bedtime routine. But I did make every night the same, so that helped a little too. Good luck with finding your solution.

  3. I was watching one of the nanny shows the other night and the family had the same problem with two of their girls. The nanny said the first time they get up you are nice and tell her it's beditme and help her back to bed, the second time you are a little more stern and just say it's bed time and take her back to bed. Any other time after that you don't say anything just take her by the hand and put her back in bed. I'm not sure if it is will work or not but it might be worth a try. Good luck!
